Ello! Erm from Ull! Hull, (My home city) normally makes internet "headlines" for negative reasons; Such as apparrently being the least romantic city in the UK or even as extreme as the worst place in the UK ( With the most recent viral one to date being this idiot on the right, who was made an internet sensation over night with some footage which had been taken of him from a motorcyclists body camera with over 2 million views.

But upon browsing my regular news website Facebook earlier on today I came across something that for once is showing Hull in a good light. has named Hull as one of the Top 10 Cities to Visit in 2017 2016.
This is probably due to us being names the UK's City of Culture 2017.

In hindsight, Hull like any other place has both its good and bad points, and I was pleased, some might say even proud, to see this being said about my little city.

Any potential visitors should be ready for our dialect! It's very unique, if your in need of a tour guide and traslator from your favourite blogger I am sure we could come to some sort of arrangement. Bazinga!

I may at some point add links to any videos I can find about the Hull accent, or maybe even post a few podcasts

But for now, here is a few pointers:

Happy New Year!

Good Evening Folks, And a Happy New Year to you all too! Hope you all had a wonderful time how ever you chose to celebrate it, and I would like to Thank any regular readers that I have out there, it really means a lot to me that you feel reading my little blog of nothing is worth a moment of your time!

2015 had been a particularly hard one for me, I was tested both on a personal level, with The Woman getting diagnosed with cancer (she's a lot better now!) but also professionally I had found my self left having to run a Residential Home with little knowledge of how or what to do!

2015 was also the year I had to make the heart breaking decision of rehoming my best friend (my doggy) but I know he has gone to a couple who love and adore him and have the time that I simply didn't because of the Woman being ill and because of work. Oh how I weeped! But my shoulder was with another!

All of these things tested me at times, some times I really wanted to throw in the towel, but I didn't. I have had to forfeit my social life, and not see my friends for weeks at a time.

So for me, 2015 taught me that I can accomplish anything with a bit of hard work and determination.

I entered 2016 more determined then ever, with my Regional Manager telling me earlier in the day that she has Great Hopes for me in the future. Golden Girl award goes to moi!

I have tried to blog more, and compared to previous years I feel as though I have managed to do so, but obviously I have had the above mentioned getting in the way at times, and the fact that I have not had a proper day off work in over 6 months now!

I have never really been one for making new years resolutions, hence why I do the DayZero project, you should really go read it, I think it is a brilliant concept, but this year I have decided that I will make more time for me! I guess that's more of a promise to myself though!

Take Care
