Night's outs are costly...

and I don't just mean because of the money spent on drinks!

There are the other things to consider before you even get out. Purchasing of a new outfit, make up, and getting treatments such as threading.

And then there are the taxi fares obviously. As well as others.

I rolled in at 6am yesterday morning after a very enjoyable clubbing session, I went to get straight into bed, put my hand in my pocket in order to get my mobile phone (cell phone) out of my pocket to ensure I put the alarm on due to being at work in the afternoon. When suddenly it dawned on me. I had no idea where the hell my phone was. I had a mini heart attack right there and then. I'd often had these before when I had misplaced my phone. But this time I had actually lost it.

My poor little fingers have been at their wits ends not having anything to twiddle with!

I couldn't ring it because the battery had died, I couldn't call the taxi company I had used because I had no idea which one I had used.

It's not so much the losing of the phone that bothers me, yeah I'll have to buy a replacement, but things like that are only materialistic, its the few photos, the songs, the emails and texts which are on it. The thought of someone being able to read my private messages. And the loss of contacts, and the trouble of having to get peoples numbers again and  tell people that you have not been ignoring them, but have in fact been a total pleb and managed to lose the item that you normally guide with your life.

It's a huge inconvenience

Not only had I lost my mobile, but also my brand new cardigan and a friend. Not as in a loss of a friendship, lost as in I couldn't find her anywhere! She is safe, she slipped off to her boyfriends.

*P.s I recommend trying a cocktail called the Godfather - Beautiful!!!*

Another one bites the dust...

That's another one of my 101 list being completed.

Task #44 - Learn how to wear make up.

If you can ever actually "learn" to wear make up that is, I'm pretty much down with the basics of what I want to wear, which isn't a lot, (concealer, foundation, mascara, eye liner).

2 more? Really?

So it would seem that I have inadvertently completed two of my 1o1 tasks. And some time ago too it would seem. It wasn't until reading through my list again last night that I realised I had completed these two tasks. There are also a few which are currently in process too.

Task 98 Keep a small change jar.

Sadly its not as full as the one on the left. There is no paper notes in it, Only shrapnel. I bought a 3 litre empty Vodka bottle and have been keeping my change in that, and I don't intend to empty it until I have filled it. I

Task 62 Remember to take my keys with me for and entire week.

Again, This was completed sometime ago and I didn't even realise it, My house keys also have the keyfob which I have to use at work on them. So I would of pretty much been screwed if I hadn't taken them with me. I think it also helps that I have the attached to a key chain that stays attached to either the trousers I am wearing or the bag I am sporting that day.

Task 67 done. 98 more to go

Well another task can now officially be marked as done.

I have started a new blog reviewing various venues in my city.

Hull Blogger

Its just a one (wo)man band and is for no particular reason, and for the majority of regular readers of this blog will serve no real purpose.

Its mainly to get my writing of reviews up to scratch.

Ciao

Student Daze

I have recently decided that I want to rejoin the education system.

Return to college in other words.

There are 4 courses in which I am interested in. So it is a matter of deciding which one I would rather do now. Access to Nursing, Access to Higher Education (Probably the History or English route), Cooking and Information Technology. Whose to say in x amount of years I can't go back and do another course?

Unless of course the specific course is abolished.Which I can't see happening as each one there is always a future in. So unless there is suddenly a lack of need for Nurses, or teachers, or the human species evolves so much that we no longer require to eat. And its common knowledge that computer systems are getting more and more a part of everyday life.

So fingers crossed in September 2012 I will return to college. It's going to take a lot of hard work which I am more than willing to do. I may need to leave my current work place if they don't agree to cutting my hours short or working around my college days. If need be I will just seek employment elsewhere.

Task 23 Complete - 99 more to go!!

So 2nd task complete.

I bought my sister a gift for no reason. She wanted a pair of boots, for the winter.

So I bought them for her.

I don't think she actually believed I was going to get her them when I handed over my debit card to her. She didn't have time to go get them because she had to go to college. So when my mum and I was in another shop, we had seen some similar, but nicer shoes.

50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind. (1 task complete, 100 to go)

  1. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are?
Good question and makes me think. Would I rather me young and innocent, as youth is often portrayed alongside innocence. And then with age comes knowledge and wisdom. So which would I rather be? I couldn’t actually say. I think If I could choose, I would like to be young again, but with the same knowledge I have now.

Breaking Up Sucks Ass

Okay I get it; I know what you’re thinking. There isn’t a break up that doesn’t suck somewhere down the line. Break ups are meant to suck. They’re meant to hurt too. I didn’t realise they hurt this much.

I bet you’ve also guessed that this post is about a break up. My recent break up that is.

Break certainly is the right word that is for sure!!

I’m not going to go into all the detail of it, simply because it’s a very raw subject. I feel numb, but have so much pain at the same time.

I’m not gonna lie, I do miss my ex, and I do love my ex, very much, you don’t spend 21 months with each other and not miss them!! But we had to break up; it just wasn’t working, for various reasons. It was going to end up with one of us seriously hurt, or even in prison, or worst dead.

Oopsy daisy...

Yet again it would seem that I have left my blog idle for sometime now. This seems to be coming a tradition for me, I started this blog with every intention of posting somewhat regular posts, but somewhere along the line I got lost...

I'm not gonna lie, it's a cross between lack of motivation and inspiration. I'm not even sure that I am worthy of keeping a blog. My daily life is somewhat repeatative, I get up, I work, I go home, and I sleep. Quite boring really.

I'm planning on starting the 101 tasks in 1001 days project again soon, or dayzero project as you may know it. I just need to write out my tasks and sort out the the start and end date. That should atleast help with the inspiration part of the writing posts, or atleast one would think.

I've also recently placed an ad for a penpal, as I quite miss having regular letters through the door which don't consist of asking me for money. I've recently got an e-mail pal, which is going ok so far.

Skype on Blackberry PLEASE

Skype - Love it!

Blackberrys, not so much.

I had a HTC Desire android phone, I loved that phone, it was a brilliant little piece of equipment, had the ability to do just about anything I wanted it to do, aside from running me a bath and making me a sandwich it was amazing.

I actually regret not having this phone anymore, more so I regret getting a Blackberry Curve 9300.

I dislike this phone, if it was to run me a bath, it would probably run me a luke warm, lacking bubbles kind of bath.

I think one of the major things I dislike about blackberrys is the fact that it doesn't have Skype, I loved the fact that with my last phone I didn't have to rush home if I wanted to talk to a friend or family member who are living in another country because I could just do it on the go.

Why haven't Blackberry got a skype app yet?

Even my mums cheap £30 phone has skype, albeit it is a skype mobile phone, but still if a phone that cheap can have it, why not the "best phone you will ever get" (quote from a colleague that shall remain anonymous)?

Get your act together Blackberry!!!!

The Grass isn't always Greener....

So, here I am again, and I'm not just referring to the late night/early hours posting, but in actual fact referring to the fact that I am currently residing back at my mothers.

This is due to being evicted, which is no fault of my own, I won't go into it, because my partner would probably be head me, but also mainly because I quite simply cannot be bothered.

I'm not to bothered about having to leave my previous residence, it was a huge 3 bedroomed dive of an apartment that never felt like home, it was always referred to as the Flat, not once do I recall myself or A calling it home. We took it due to the previous house literally going mouldy, had the landlords told us they would sort it, then we would more than likely of stayed there.

It was little and cosy. But most of all it was home.

When I moved out after the reality of bills and the like set in, I often wished I still lived with my mum, now I'm here again, I want my own place desperately!!

So this just goes to show the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Huzzah...

So it seems it didn't take to long for me to fail one of the previous listed resolutions.... Blog more. Oh well the intention was there.

Saturday, 1 January 2011

Happy 2011!!

Happy New Year everyone.

Here's to a better one eh?

So I suppose here is where I should list my Resolutions for this year?

  1. Quit Smoking

  2. Lose Weight

  3. Blog More

These are my 3 main ones, I won't list any more, as I am shortly going to be starting 101 in 1001 as soon as I have completed my list.

In order to blog more I think I will proberly visit Dailypost for ideas. I'm not saying I will blog everyday because that would be impossible for me to do. But I will attempt to blog more often.

Happy 2011 Everybody
